YAROSLAV LEONETS
Yaroslav Leonets is a modern artist from Ukraine. Since childhood, he felt the need to convey his feelings in a nonverbal way since he struggled to put them in words. He spent a lot of time alone with his own thoughts and feelings, making him find new ways to communicate his feelings with the world. He could not convey these feelings using gestures, facial expressions, or physiognomy, but through visual art, he found a way to reveal and convey how he really feels. He has always been inspired by the search for new forms of communication with the world; his struggles in childhood have turned into the work of his life.
As an artist, he realizes himself in various forms of art. He is engaged in painting, graphics, and sculpture. He is constantly experimenting and looking for new ways to convey his reality.
He studied in Ukraine at the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts in the Faculty of Fine Arts, and at the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in Kyiv for monumental painting.
His recent works are in the genre of paintings and in graphics. In his work, he strives to convey the beauty of nature and human interaction with nature. He also works on social issues, topics that address inner experiences and that highlight our connection to nature and identification, environmental issues, and legal issues.
Art is a way of subjective communication with the surrounding world; using various visual means to express unique, clean, childlike feelings.
