Regular Hours: Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00am - 5:00pm
Scheduled Opening Reception Hours: Fridays, 5:00pm - 8:00pm

$15.00/hr
Primary Duties:
Ensure the safety of artwork and gallery spaces
Open and close gallery
Maintain cleanliness in the gallery
Staff the front desk, greet visitors, answer questions, and field sales inquiries
Process artwork purchases
Assist with the physical installation of exhibitions. This may include painting and repairing walls, and artwork handling.
Assist with maintaining and updating the website, social media, and email promotions
Maintain artist and artwork databases, including sales records
Administrative duties, including ordering office and retail supplies, answering phones, issuing and managing email correspondence, setting up or confirming appointments
Attend opening receptions and manage the beverage service and wet bar, monitor climate control, and assist exhibiting artists, clients, and other staff
Other Duties & Responsibilities:
Coordinate with the Director & Curatorial Director regarding daily/weekly tasks
Research and keep up-to-date with local, national, and international art, museum, and gallery trends
Maintain visitor client database
Have an awareness of local artists, both established and emerging
Keep up-to-date on local arts events
Some occasional local travel may be required
Required Experience & Skills:
Background in tech, office management, sales preferred
BA required; Background in Art, Art History, Museum Studies, or a related field preferred
Knowledge of standard museum & gallery practices, including collections management
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Google Suite, and Adobe
Experience with desktop publishing and emailing software
Excellent organization, communication, and customer service skills
Excellent verbal & written skills
Ability to problem solve and work independently
Detail-oriented
Ability to lift 50lbs, climb a ladder, and spend long hours standing
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and remain flexible with changing priorities
